American Idiot is Green Day's seventh studio album and a rock opera, released in 2004. It may also be classified as a concept album to many. It is the first #1 album for Green Day on both sides of the Atlantic, and it is also the fourth Green Day studio album that producer Rob Cavallo has produced. The album is, so far, one of the most critically and commercially successful albums of the 2000s.

I adopted this fanlisting for American Idiot because this album pretty much defined my freshman year of college and was the one that made me fall in love with Green Day him and his music. The name Rage and Love was chosen because it sums up the album pretty well, and is also a lyric from the track Jesus Of Suburbia.
